Jazz Is Going To Enable Volte Soon Across Its Network

Khalid Shehzad, Chief Technology Officer Jazz said:

“Providing impeccable voice and data experience to Jazz customers is our continuous endeavor and we are humbled to be the first in Pakistan to conduct successful VoLTE trial using the latest technology. Once we move towards the commercial launch, VoLTE shall enable our valuable customers to enjoy premium voice services with more than 80% reduction in call setup time, and on top of it they can cherish the true essence of data session during call,”

Voice calls are carried by VoLTE over 4G LTE data network. This technology overrides the currently used “circuit switched” 2G or 3G networks. Voice becomes another app when it is carried over 4G LTE network.

Few days back, Jazz has successfully won 4G spectrum. It is doubling its 4G sites across Pakistan after the acquisition of this spectrum. Now, VoLTE test as claimed by a press release makes it the first and only player in Pakistani market ready to launch VoLTE in the near future.
