According to a tweet by Evan Blass on Wednesday, who is a blogger with a record of accurate leaks, Google will reveal the 2^nd generation of its Pixel smartphones on October 5.

Evan Blass wrote that the new Android smartphones will be run by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 836 system on chip. Many people had expected that Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will come with the upgraded chip but it didn’t happen. Now it seems the Pixel 2, as most of us are expecting, will be the first Google smartphone with the upgraded chip.

The hardware chief of the company, Rick Osterloh, had earlier affirmed that a follow-up is coming in 2017. However, he didn’t say anything regarding the date when it will come, but it is alleged that it would unveil sometime in October, exactly after one year the Pixel was launched. According to the rumors, the next Pixel will have a better camera and a slimmer design.
