It seems that there have been some major issues in the February security update in Google Pixel 2. Many users on Google’s own forums as well as Reddit have complained that their Google Pixel 2 units are getting warmer and the battery life is also decreasing, as it is draining relatively faster.

If you look into the online forum discussion in a comprehensive manner, you will see that there are some users who also say that they have not come across any sort of issue, but the number of people not complaining any issues is comparatively small.

Additionally, many people have also confirmed that these issues arose when their devices were put in safety mode. Hence, it is quite possible that different third-party apps may have caused these issues. Google has still not given any official comment in this regard though.
