The Lumia Denim update has started to roll out for Windows Phone 8.1 devices a few days earlier. The Lumia Denim was first introduced in China then Europe and India. The software is now being introduced in US market, and for Lumia it runs only when the smartphone is bought from Verizon.

The credible news is, the new software is now reaching Lumia 822, Lumia 928 and Lumia Icon. The earlier two will get the update this year while the later will be treated by the version in early 2015.

Surprisingly this implies that all the handsets will miss the Lumia Cyan update altogether and go straight to Denim.

The Lumia Denim update for Verizon comes with VPN for better security. Live Folders, Cortana, many upgrades for the Camera app, and there are possibly some bug repairs in there too.
