Thousands of iPhone users while repairing their Home Button from uncertified technicians have damaged their iPhones. According to the report this Error 53 will affect iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.If the Home Button, which also has the Touch ID sensor, gets changed, phones is attacked by Error 53. After this iPhone becomes useless and this is due to Touch ID sensor.

Error 53 has damaged thousands of iPhones

The Touch ID sensor present in iPhone is particular to that iPhone. This Touch ID sensor will not work properly on any other iPhone. This is specifically so that the data of one iPhone cannot be used with another device. This is for the protection of data.

After the changing the button initially everything will look alright but as soon as you will switch to the new iOS it will ask for the previous Touch ID sensor, upon whose incompatibility the device will get damaged and stop working.

Apple has made a proper page to give info on Error 53. Upon damage the only thing possible is go to Apple store and pay for repairing. Without warranty it will cost you $200, however, it also depends which hardware needs to change.
