Punjab Government withdraws Internet Tax to promote internet

for tax-free operation in mobile internet and Broadband.PITB Chairman Dr. UmerSaif made the announcement that Punjab government has finally withdrawn internet taxes to stimulate better performance in internet and telecom sector in Punjab. The government has also taken this intuitive amidst announcing the expansion in 3G/4G spectrum.

With this we also hope that rest of the provinces also remove these taxation on mobile internet and Broadband. The five largest operators have seriously looked upon this matter and showed their grievances. They also showed concerns over participation in upcoming auctions. Hence with Punjab starting it, it may benefit the rest of the country when it need progress in internet and e-commerce.
