Nokia has announced one new Nokia feature phone with internet dubbed Nokia 222. The Nokia 222 also comes with Dual-SIM variant. Prices start at $37 before local taxes and subsidies and that’s just too close to the Lumia 435.The device carries a 2.4″ QVGA screen, definitely small for nowadays standards but will be enough for Opera Mini and Bing Search.

There is only 2G connectivity and no Wi-Fi. To some extent Nokia 222 will get you the social media apps like Facebook,Twitter, FB Messenger and GroupMe for messaging. Bluetooth-based SLAM is also running for local sharing of data. The phones will also group some games along with for entertainment.

The Nokia 222 offers 32GB of storage expansion. There is also an MP3 player, FM radio too. Further, it packs a 2MP camera and only favors 320 x 240px video at 15fps. There’s an LED flashlight too, but it’s on top so you can’t use it as camera flash.

The Nokia 222 and 222 Dual-SIM is likely to launch in September and most probably in emerging markets.
