The recent research from Cowen, which has been active in surveying since 2013 about the quarterly customer demand of Apple iPhones, suggests that this time round the iPhone sales are slowing down and the Q4 sales were dropped by a larger percentage.
The report mentioned to have questioned AT&T, Sprint and Verizon, where it was known that only 80.5% of the iPhone users said that they will be upgrading their iPhone with another new iPhone in fact.
This might sound as a higher interest, but over time the interest seems to be falling down. This is because the percentage of upgrading to iPhones was about 87.6% in the third quarter.
Cowen report shows that this might be due to the higher price of iPhone X owing to which the customers are not able to upgrade their phones to the newer iPhone. Another reason is the underwhelming changes in the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus as compared to their predecessors.
