Some people have lately reported that there is screen burn-in issue arising in case of Google Pixel 2 XL, and they have been complaining to Google support for it. The editor of Android Central first brought this story to public attention by saying that he used the phone for about a week after which this issue arose. He stated that while using, the navigation button on the phone got a burn-in.

Google has, on the other hand, said that it has been actively investigating the issue.

Usually, the screen burn-in affects the OLED panels and this happens in on-screen content, which remains permanently etched into the matrix after a static image is displayed for a longer period of time.

The manufacturers normally avoid this by moving the content appearing on the screen by a few pixels every now and then. This is actually not visible through naked eye.

However, time will be the deciding factor in the number of units of Pixel 2 XL getting affected by this issue, and whether the Pixel 2 also meets the same fate or works perfectly or not.
