Lenovo to Introduce Android OS on its Phones

  MPC Team

Lenovo has been working on customizing Android operating system on its smartphones in past few years. This is a routine for Huawei or Samsung or Sony unlike Lenovo.

It is now evident that Lenovo is working really hard to look for new things to work. They are paying special attention since they lost number one spot in global smartphone shipments.

They have decided to let go of Vibe UI to place Android UI.

Lenovo Vibe UI was nowhere near to Android UI. The reasons were numerous as some of them are clunky icons, inappropriate colours and non non-intuitive user interface.

Lenovo’s own brand Motorola has been in Android business with the only additions being a few small apps and gestures.

Head of Product Marketing for Lenovo says, “There’s no more Vibe UI going forward and we are moving to complete stock Android for all our future Lenovo phones. It was a lengthy process to get done [as] Lenovo had to align all markets where it sold Android devices. This is a huge transition for our business perspective.”

Motorola has not seen any such success under Lenovo which means the Chinese desktop and smartphone giant finds it a bit of a bother.
