There is a rumor that the next Apple iphone will have the ability to charge through wifi. Apple is investigating the option to charge by the energy transmitted through radio signals.

Apple has exclusive rights for this technology in which the users could charge their smartphones by WiFi, data signals or through satellite signals which could be through GPS.

The Cupertino based tech giant would be using the radio signals which are used for data transmission. This type of charging cannot be done through normal antennas. It will use special antennas and the system will come with two devices. One transmitter and other receiver.

The wireless range would be limited and Apple is trying to improve the range by using different techniques. Apple has already released five wireless charging devices during this year and let’s see when the new Apple iphone comes up.
