WhatsApp has recently introduced a new feature with the name Video call. The Video call can now be initiated even on your prior version of WhatsApp. This means you can now use this feature even without updating the new version of WhatsApp.

Booyah is the app available in Play Store and App Store that will let you use Video call on WhatsApp via contacts, provided the recipient also has the same app installed.

Just install the app and it will have access to your contacts. In case of Android it will also ask permission to access your photos/media/files, camera, microphone, Wi-Fi and have full network access.

Once the app is there it can make a video call with your contacts asking the recipient to initiate a chat. But again it is important that recipient should have the app as well.

As you initiate a call, a link will be provided, which will help other contacts to join. If you close application during the call, your video will freeze. But as soon as you open the app, you can continue but with voice call only.

Booyah will also help you to make video call with multiple contacts. You’ll be able to directly add extra people within the conversation.

There are few problem that we found with the display of contacts while making video call. But overall, it works simpler than other video call apps.
